Shellex handled the design and engineering of its offices to align with the company’s identity and employee requirements. This resulted in teamwork-oriented rooms, well-lit spaces, and adjustable desks designed to improve workplace comfort. The building is divided into four types of units: Shellex offices, additional rental office space, a truck garage, and a warehouse. Our teams considered the needs of each tenant throughout the design process. Our team considered the needs of all tenants. A multidisciplinary project carried out by Shellex Each discipline developed design plans within its area of expertise, coordinating efforts with the architect and other professionals. Civil Engineering Our team of Civil Engineers addressed work near a waterway, with a focus on effective stormwater management and retention. Structural Engineering Shellex Structual Engineering was responsible for the complete design. Notable features of this new construction include the mezzanine in the garage. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering The integrated garage required tailored ventilation solutions. Given that truck welding and repair work is performed in a trench, adapted systems were essential to control and extract fumes. The first system continuously tracks carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide levels. It ensures that these emissions never exceed acceptable limits. If they do, a rooftop ventilation system is activated automatically. The second system focuses on ventilation at the service pit level. Since heavier-than-air gases are found there, an explosion-proof ventilation system was installed. A hydronic radiant floor heating system was incorporated in the garage. Hydronic underfloor heating. Specifically requested to meet the client’s needs. All units in the building have their own ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems, allowing everyone to regulate the air independently.
</oembed>
