Shoreline stabilization in Baie Saint-François

Construction Supervision

Shellex was responsible for supervising the work carried out to stabilize the banks of Baie Saint-François in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. The erosion and instability of the shoreline over several kilometres, along with the deterioration of certain adjacent municipal infrastructure, had become an obstacle to development. To address this, redevelopment work is underway to allow access to the waterway for larger vessels, ensure safe use of the area, and improve boat access from the shoreline.

This work is essential to protect the site’s environmental value. Additional improvements are also planned in nearby riverside parks to make them more attractive and functional for community events.

Shellex is acting as the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield’s representative with all construction stakeholders. Our firm ensures that the work is carried out according to industry standards, while costs and schedules remain aligned with the agreements in place.
