Redevelopment Work

Shellex was responsible for supervising and coordinating the work on De Lotbinière Road between Harwood Boulevard and Saint-Jean-Baptiste Avenue. The objective of this project was to revitalize the area by creating a mixed-use urban environment that would enhance the quality of life while respecting the environment. The revitalization of the Highway 20 bypass resulted in a complete transformation of the boulevard.

A completely new design for the boulevard was developed to achieve this goal. This includes redesigned roadway geometry, on-street parking spaces, the addition of protected sidewalks, new bike paths, vegetated swales, trees and plants, upgraded lighting, the replacement of the water main and sanitary sewer forcemain, as well as the construction of a new gravity sanitary sewer line.
