New Facility Construction

The Challenge

This new facility houses a critical part of the brine treatment process. To meet urgent operational and commercial needs, the project was executed using a fast-track approach to ensure continuity of site operations while maintaining production during construction.

Our Solution

Thanks to Shellex’s turnkey IAC/EPC (Engineering – Procurement – Construction) services, the client was able to maintain and significantly improve operational efficiency. Shellex delivered the following services:

• Design of a new building, including services, fire safety, ventilation, lighting, water management, and more
• Implementation of new processes (tanks, reactors, filters, and various treatments) for more efficient brine treatment
• Installation of an electrical room
• New cooling water system

The new processes enabled the elimination of approximately 4,500,000 m³ of natural gas consumption, equivalent to an annual reduction of nearly 8,500 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. Thanks to the energy savings and GHG reductions achieved by this project, Shellex was able to secure substantial grants for the client, covering over 30% of the total project costs.
