At Shellex, we are convinced that every action counts in building a more sustainable future. This is why we offer a specialized Energy and Decarbonization service that supports industrial companies in improving their practices.
Our team helps organizations rethink their operations to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint. With a personalized approach, we provide concrete solutions tailored to each reality, with the goal of making a real difference for the business and for the planet.
A company that cares about their employees
Shellex values its employees and listens to what matters to them. That’s why we actively consult our team to support charitable causes that are important to them. For example, we participate in Movember, donate toys to Le Partage during the holiday season, support Accueil pour Elle, and take part in the Ride de filles event, which raises funds for the fight against breast cancer.
Additionally, we provide financial contributions to various sports leagues and employee initiatives. In 2025, Shellex partnered with the hydroplane racing team LaloRacing 751, and our logo proudly adorned the starting line at the Regatta races due to our involvement.
Gold Partner - Cégep de Valleyfield Foundation
2024 - 2026
Shellex is honored to be a Gold Partner of the Invest in Local Talent campaign, which funds the construction of new facilities for the Civil Engineering program and upgrades to the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering program facilities. In total, Shellex is contributing $25,000 to the Cégep de Valleyfield Foundation in support of this initiative.
Beyond this financial commitment, Philippe Bourassa, Executive and Director at Shellex, also serves on the Foundation’s Board of Directors, further strengthening our engagement with the local academic community.
Movember
2020 to present
Launched through an employee initiative, Shellex holds an annual fundraising campaign for Movember, which supports men’s mental health and suicide prevention, as well as the fight against prostate and testicular cancer. Employees are invited to proudly grow their moustaches and donate generously to the cause.
In return, Shellex commits to matching all donations. Since 2020, more than $14,500 has been donated to the cause thanks to our joint efforts.
Canadian Cancer Society
2025
Shellex noticed a buildup of gently used items in its warehouse and organized an internal sale for employees.
Instead of keeping the funds from the sale, company directors encouraged employees to donate the equivalent value of the chosen item directly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The concept was simple: one item in exchange for a donation!
This first edition raised over $2,600 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Shellex plans to repeat the initiative in the coming years.
