A New Tank
One of our major industrial clients approached us to replace a tank in their facility. The existing fiberglass tank had a lifespan of approximately 10 years and was replaced with a titanium tank with an expected lifespan of around 25 years.
A Major Technical Challenge
This equipment replacement involved significant logistical challenges. Shellex had to plan a full plant shutdown to install the new tank. Space constraints were also a key issue, as the location for the new tank was very tight. Considering the equipment’s weight (8,000 lbs) and size, the logistics were particularly demanding. To prevent damage, the new tank was protected with shrink wrap during transport and installation.
