An engineering design by Shellex
Shellex developed the engineering design for an approximately 18 km section of the Route Verte in Saint-Constant. This redevelopment project provided users with a safe and accessible bike path for all.
Our engineers and designers have been able to comply with the norms and homologation standards of Vélo Québec and the Route verte in addition to honoring the laws, regulations and standards in force. As a result, the bike path is pleasant to use, easy to access, and built in line with current trends in the field.
To ensure harmonious sharing between users and neighbouring farmers, our team oversaw the construction of parallel lanes reserved for agricultural machinery, specifically by designing main, secondary, and roadway crossings. In addition, two railway bridges were restored and converted into cycling bridges.
